Personnel of 18 Pilots Advanced Flying Unit, Church Lawford and Snitterfield - page under development

If a member of your family was at RAF Church Lawford or RAF Snitterfield, please can you contact us if you have any photographs, anecdotes, a log book or paperwork? We aim to build an archive of 18 PAFU that will become a resource for families and researchers alike, by copying original material, particularly log books and photographs. Thank you.

The tables of pupils on the courses have been compiled from the unit's Operations Record Book, aircraft accident cards, personnel files and log books (where noted). We have not found the course photos or lists of the pupils on the courses, so the tables are currently very sparse. We hope to add more from instructor's log books and other information as it comes to light. As ever, we are indebted to Bill Chorley, who allowed us to make use of his excellent "Bomber Command Losses" series of books. If you can add something to what we know about these airmen, or offer more names, we will welcome an email.
