Membership benefits

The council exists for the benefit of the members. Groups have different emphases. Many are directly involved in searching for and recovering wartime aircraft and others concentrate on historical research, photography or preserving airfield buildings. Members come from a broad spectrum of ages and occupations but share an interest in aviation history.

The BAAC provides the following for its members...

  • Regular meetings at aviation venues or museums
  • The opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts and discuss achievements and problems
  • Advice on sources of information and methods of preservation
  • Representation to legislating bodies and the Ministry of Defence
  • A news service, keeping members up to date with recoveries, changes in the law and publications

Joining is easy

Membership is open to groups involved with any aspect of aviation archaeology and to individuals who research aviation history. If you'd like to join your local group the membership secretary can put you in touch.

Email the membership secretary at: baacmemsec@aol.com
